Mother’s Day is celebrated to honor all mothers and express gratitude for the hardships they bear in bringing up a child.
Mothers Day came into being due to the efforts made by Ms. Julia Ward Howe and Ms. Anna Jarvis. The Resolution for having a dedicated Mother’s Day was signed by US President Woodrow Wilson on May 8, 1914. Since then people across the world have been celebrating Mothers Day with joy and devotion.
Mothers are as caring in East as they are in the West. The difference between mothers from one part of the world to the other simply does not exist and so are the feelings of children. All over the world people love to celebrate Mothers Day with their mothers and shower love on them.
So as the Department of Pediatrics in Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital celebrated the Mothers Day on 11th May 2016 with a great enthusiasm. Many children with their mothers participated in the event. They were engaged in drawing, with the ideas implemented by their mothers. They were also relished with some snacks and refreshing drinks. All mothers who were present were delighted to see their ward expressing the love towards them by the means of drawing pictures. The celebration ended with a great sensation.
