IAP-BPS Bangalore Pedicon is being organized every year since 8 years and this year, 8th IAP-BPS Bangalore is being organized on 18th, 19th and 20th of September.
As a part of this prestigious, 8th IAP-BPS Bangalore a one day sensitization pre conference workshop was organized on 17th September 2021 with the theme being “one day Sensitization workshop- IYCF”, by the department of pediatrics RRMCH in association with IAP-BPS Bangalore.
The workshop had started with Inauguration by our chief guest Dr. Banapurmath (Founder and chairman IYCF) our HOD Dr. Adarsh sir, Dr. Mallikarjuna (President IAP-BPS Bangalore), our Dean Dr. Satyamurthy Sir by lamp lighting at Kadamba auditorium with the sisters and post graduates and paramedical staff gracing the occasion.
Our beloved HOD Dr. Adarsh sir initiated the session by enlightening the audience on Myths & Misconceptions of Breast Feeding followed by talk by other eminent speakers on various aspects of IYCF like Breast feeding during Covid-19, Breast feeding skills, Art of complimentary feeding.
In the afternoon 5 different skill stations were arranged and all the post graduates and paramedical staff were taught and trained regarding various skills of Breast Feeding during the workshop.
The programme was concluded by felicitation of the speakers followed by vote of thanks.
