Welcome one & all for today’s guest lecture – thyroid disease with comorbid conditions. Hypothyroidism, the prevalence is increasing in India. Recent survey done across 8 cities (including Bangalore) in India showed a prevalence of around 10%. Thyroid disease is commonly associated with other comorbid conditions like diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, depression, osteoporosis & NAFLD. Recognition of thyroid disease with other comorbidities is very essential to improve the overall outcome of the clinical condition.
