World Diabetes Day at Chunchanakuppe RHTC
Diabetes screening camp was organized on the occasion of World Diabetes Day at Chunchanakuppe RHTC on 16th November 2022. This year’s theme was “Education to protect tomorrow.”
The programme was conducted by Dept.of Community Medicine in association with Dept. of General Medicine, RRMCH. The event was attended by Dr Shashikala M, Head of the Dept, Dept. of Community Medicine, Dr. Vidusha K Associate Professor, Dept. of Community Medicine, Dr Siddanth Doddamane, Senior Resident, Dept. of General Medicine, Dr Kushal R, Post Graduate student, Dept. of General Medicine and Chunchanakuppe staff.
• The Programme started at around10:30 am.
• The beneficiaries were screened for Diabetes using Random Blood Sugar testing. Additionally, they also underwent Blood Pressure checking. Those who required further investigations and management were referred to Dept. of General Medicine, RRMCH.
• A total of 38 beneficiaries participated.
• Health education on importance of periodic screening, taking regular treatment and follow-up for Diabetes and Hypertension was explained by interns and staff.
• The session concluded successfully by 3 pm followed by refreshments.
Refreshments and transport arrangement were made by RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital.
