Pediatrics is a branch of medicine which deals with medical care of infants and children. It is concerned with the well being of infants, children and adolescents including psychological growth and development.
The department of paediatrics, RRMCH, provides dedicated health service to infants and children. Its a tertiary care centre providing excellent care and treating the various challenging childhood illnesses.
The PICU and NICU faculty members are well experienced, enthusiastic and compassionate in treating and monitoring sick children. It's a referral centre for critically ill children and promotes health care for the needy.
The department encompasses many subspecialty clinics on weekly basis to expand and promote the health services.
Well baby clinic and high risk speciality clinics assess the growth and neurological development of NICU graduates and regular follow of high risk infants is undertaken.
Apart from these immunization clinics, adolescent clinic, pulmonology clinic, neurology clinic,hematology clinic, cardiology clinic and nephrology clinic function through out the year.

A curriculum designed by the department for the undergraduates and post graduates to become competent and preparing them for higher education.
• The candidate who holds MBBS degree from recognized Medical College and whose has obtained full registration from Medical Council of India or any of the state Medical councils after completing compulsory rotating internship.
• Securing not less than 50% marks in last 4 & ½ years.
• + 50% marks in either of the Entrance Test that includes All India PG Medical Entrance Exam (AIPGMEE) / PG Entrance Test (PGET) / Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority (KRLM)
• The candidate who holds MBBS degree from recognized Medical College and whose has obtained full registration from Medical Council of India or any of the state Medical councils after completing compulsory rotating internship.
• Securing not less than 40% marks in last 4 & ½ Years
• + 40% marks in either of Entrance Test that includes All India PG Medical Entrance Exam (AIPGMEE) / PG Entrance Test (PGET) / Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority (KRLM).
• Candidates from outside Karnataka State must get Migration certificate from respective State & Eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
• Candidates of minority status should have certificate from appropriate authorities.
