World No Tobacco day
World No Tobacco day was celebrated on 31st May 2024, Friday by the Department of ENT-HNS.
Theme for this year’s World No Tobacco Day was “Protecting Children from Tobacco company interference”
An enlightening talk on the harmful impact of the tobacco industry and the health risks associated with tobacco use were highlighted by Dr Praveen Kumar, Medical Superintendent and Dr. T. M. Nagaraj Professor & HOD, ENT-HNS followed by a skit performed by postgraduates and interns of the department of ENT-HNS to create an awareness in advocating effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption in children.
The event was attended by Dean, vice principal, Medical superintendent, faculties, post graduates and interns of various departments and ended on positive note.
