TB Eradication Program
Department of TB & CD and Department of Community Medicine, Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital collaborating with the District Administration, Jilla Panchayathi Health, Family Welfare Office and District TB Control Centre, Bangalore are conducting the movement of “Active TB infected detection program” from 2nd July 2018 to 17th July 2018.
About the Programme:
The activity was organized by the Dept of Community Medicine in collaboration with Dept of TB and Chest Diseases, Dr Naveen Kumar P and Dr Tina, Dr Manjunath (RNTCP MO) co-ordinated the activity with the post graduates, interns and staff.
- Mr Shivakumar helped in arrangement & Organization at the actvity venue.
- The activity started at 10.00 am at Kengeri Uppanagara, Shirke, Mylasandra and extended till 2.00 pm on 9th of July 2018.
- The second day activity started at 10.00 am at Kumbalagodu, Brigade Houses, Doddabele construction sites and extended till 2.00 pm on 13th of July 2018.
- House to House visits were made and all the house hold present at the time of visit were inquired for detection of Presumptive TB case as per standard protocol.
- Total of 110 houses comprising of 460 households were inquired for detection of Presumptive TB case as per standard protocol. Some of the households having symptoms of TB sputum samples were taken and were referred to RRMCH for further treatment and follow-up.
- Health Education session was conducted to participants.
- The activity concluded successfully.
