Physiology department conducted white coat ceremony as they were the co-ordinating department for foundation course of 2021-2022. The program started at 10:00 am on 11th April 2022. All the students and faculty assembled in Kadamba Hall.
Dr. Jyothi Vybhavi (Associate professor) was the moderator for the program. The program started by inviting the dignitaries on the dais. The program started by invoking the blessings of God with a beautiful song by 1st year MBBS students and lighting the lamp.
The welcome speech was given by Dr. Jamuna BL, Professor and Head, Department of Physiology. Madam welcomed the Guest of Honor Dr. BR Ramakrishna, dignitaries, resource faculties, Heads of departments, students and parents.
The audiences were addressed by respected Dean Dr. Sathyamurthy B. He emphasized the importance of white coat; its duties and responsibilities.
Dr. Yogesh MK (Joint registrar academics) introduced guest of honor Dr. B. R. Ramakrishna, vice-chancellor of S-VYASA University. It was followed by Felicitation of guest of Honor by Dean, MS and CEO.
Dr. B. R. Ramakrishna delivered the ceremonial address to the gathering. He enlightened the audience by his precious words of wisdom and guided our students on code of conduct for this noble profession.
White coat donning started. All the faculties were invited on the stage for donning the white coat to the students.
It was followed by administration of NMC recommended modified Charak Shapath by Medical Superintendent Dr. Praveen Kumar.
The winning teams for e-poster competition which was held during foundation course were congratulated and awarded with certificates by Dean and MS.
The Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Priyanka Singh (foundation course co-ordinator).
The program concluded with National Anthem and group photo.
The program was live streamed on college official you-tube channel for the parents to witness the program. The program had 1250 concurrent views.
