The Department of Pediatrics proudly celebrated Autism Week on April 29, 2025, with a focus on promoting inclusivity and awareness through the lens of neurodiversity and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The event was inaugurated with a symbolic plant-watering ceremony by our respected unit chiefs — Dr. Sreekrishna, Dr. Rajanish, and Dr. Karthik — reflecting growth, nurturing, and sustainability.
Highlights of the event included:
Cultural performances: A creative mime by interns and an energetic dance by postgraduate students brought vibrancy and emotion to the occasion.
Expert talks: Insightful sessions were delivered by Dr. Sowmyashree (Pediatric Psychiatrist), Dr. Kishore (Pediatric Neurologist), and members of the neurodevelopmental team, sharing knowledge and perspectives on autism care.
The program concluded with a thank-you note from Dr. Sushmita (JR1), expressing appreciation to all participants and supporters.
With over 60 attendees, the event was a resounding success, reinforcing our commitment to enhancing neurodevelopmental care and fostering an inclusive healthcare environment.
