CME on Role of Robotics in Surgery

The Department of General Surgery has organised a CME on …………….. Title : “Role of Robotic in Surgery” Date: 27th August 2021 Time: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Venue: Kadamba Hall (College Auditorium) Speaker: Dr. Rajashekar Jaka, Consultant Robotic Surgery Sparsh Hospital ALL ARE CORDIALLY INVITED Department of General Surgery had organized a CME on “The Role of Robotics in Surgery” on 27th August 2021 under the guidance of Dr. Venkatesh.S, Prof & HOD Dept of Surgery and with the aegis of SS SPARSH hospital Bangalore. RRMCH is the first private Medical College & Hospital in the state to conduct this unique CME. Recently the demand and interest in Robotic Surgery has increased. Robotic surgeries provide faster recovery times and fewer chances of infections for incisions that are much smaller. The scars are less visible when robotic surgeries are performed when compared to traditional surgeries. Robotic surgeries mean fewer complications due to surgery. The session was organized as a single half day CME program. The program was interspersed with time for Lunch and Tea. This CME gave the delegates an overview of Robotic surgery in general. The Guest Speaker of this program was Dr. Rajashekhar C. Jaka, Consultant, Onco & Robotic surgeon, SS SPARSH Hospital Bangalore. CME included one hour didactic lecture with video session also by Dr Rajashekhar C Jaka followed by Question & Answer session. CME moderator was Dr. K.S. Hanumanthaiah and the program was well attended by the postgraduates and faculties of all the departments. Guest speaker was felicitated by Dr. SIS Khadri. The session proved to be encouraging and there was overwhelming request for more programs like this. More than 150 faculties registered for the program. The interactions with the participant were heartening and the “take home message” were crisp and concise.
