Dr. Anaga – Knee Treatment

It is a proud moment to share with you all that Dr. Anaga, Assistant Professor, Department of Anesthesia has successfully done a new technique operation Radio frequency ablation. The Management and Staff heartily congratulate him for his achievement. A patient named vijayalakshmi (name changed). 65 years of age with severe knee pain of both legs due to osteoarthritis of knee, who has been suffering from pain for the past 8 years, has approached multiple doctors and multiple hospitals with no pain relief. She was suggested for knee replacement surgery and with fear of it, she was looking out for alternate treatment options. That is when she visited Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital, where she was seen by Dr Anagha M V, Assistant Professor in department of Anaesthesiology and Interventional Pain Specialist. A new and latest pain relief technique called Radio frequency ablation was planned. Dr.Anagha is only among the very few doctors trained in performing such a procedure in Bengaluru city. The Radiofrequency ablation for pain relief of knee pain was done in 1 hour in operation theatre and the patient was discharge the same day with complete pain relief.
