Dr. Bharath B. Wins Prestigious Dr. Mahadevan Award at KSCASICON 2026

We are proud to announce that Dr. Bharath B., Professor, Department of General Surgery, RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, has been honored with the prestigious Dr. Mahadevan Award.

The Dr. Mahadevan Award is the sole and most esteemed recognition instituted by the Association of Surgeons of India – Karnataka State Chapter, awarded for outstanding academic contribution in the field of surgery. Dr. Bharath B. emerged as the sole winner in a highly competitive category, reflecting his commitment to clinical excellence and research innovation.

He received the award for his research paper titled: “A Short-term Prospective Comparative Analysis of eTEP Carolina vs PeTEP for Ventral Hernia.” The study presents a comparative evaluation of advanced minimally invasive techniques for ventral hernia repair, contributing valuable insights to contemporary surgical practice.

The award was presented at the state conference KSCASICON 2026, held at Raichur.
