The inaugural ceremony of “Ekattva – The Oneness” College Fest was held with grandeur and enthusiasm at the RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions (RRGI). The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Anuradha Bhat, renowned Indian playback singer.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and creativity. The lamp was lit by the Chief Guest along with other dignitaries. This was followed by a soulful invocation song dedicated to Lord Ganesha, rendered beautifully by final-year student Ms. Shreya.
A warm welcome and introduction of the Chief Guest were given by Dr. Soumya, Associate Professor, Department of ENT, who highlighted Ms. Bhat’s contributions to the world of music.
Ms. Anuradha Bhat was felicitated by the Management of RRGI for her outstanding achievements and inspiring presence. In her address, she spoke eloquently about the power of music as a medium of healing and unity, emphasizing how art and passion can bring peace and harmony to individuals and society alike.
The audience was treated to a delightful live performance, where Ms. Bhat sang two of her most popular songs –
“Appa I Love You Paa” from the movie Chowka and
“Marali Mareyagi” from Savaari.
Her mesmerizing voice and heartfelt renditions received immense applause and appreciation from the crowd.
The official opening of the fest “Ekattva” was declared by Dr. Sathyamurthy, Dean of RRGI. This was followed by vibrant cultural performances by the students of RRGI, showcasing their talents and adding energy to the celebrations.
The event concluded on a patriotic note with a vote of thanks extended to all dignitaries, participants, and attendees, followed by the National Anthem.
