About the Programme:
A guest lecture titled “Basic tools of e-learning & learning management system” was organized by the department of Anatomy, Rajarajeswari medical college & hospital on 21/12/2018 between 2-4 pm at college auditorium. The speaker was Dr. Vidya C S, Associate professor, department of Anatomy, JSS Medical College & Academy of higher education, Mysore.
The lecture was aimed at generating interest & encouraging the students of 1st MBBS & Staff to explore various modalities of e-learning.
All the 250 students of 1st MBBS (2018-19) batch attended the lecture & actively participated in the session. The lecture was attended by the staff & HOD’s of other departments, dignitaries from administrative office & PG’s. the lecture began at 2pm with a welcome address & introduction of the speaker by Dr. Shruthi BN, HOD, Department of Anatomy, RRMCH which was followed by lecture.
The speaker spoke about definition, methodology & various websites that offer opportunities for e-learning. She threw light on various free online courses available for all to acquire e- learning skills. She gave demonstration of few of these sites & their application. Programme ended with a question – answer session & vote of thanks by Dr. Jyothilakshmi G L, Associate professor Anatomy RRMCH. A High Tea was followed after the guest lecture. A positive feedback was given by the participants.
