Health Education and Hearing Screening Program for school students at Sacred School
The Department of Community Medicine and the Department of ENT conducted a Health Education and Hearing Screening Program for school students at Sacred School, located in the Chunchankuppe Rural Field Practice Area, on Monday, 09-03-2026. The program was organized as part of World Hearing Day 2026.
Dr. Harsha Gowda, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, and Dr. Manoj Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of ENT, delivered educational sessions on the importance of hearing health, prevention of ear diseases, and early detection of hearing problems.As part of the program, postgraduate students and interns performed an educational skit to create awareness among the students about hearing care and healthy ear practices. Following the skit, a screening program was conducted to identify ear-related diseases among the students.
Around 200 students from classes 5th to 9th participated in the program and benefited from the health education and screening activities.
