Department of Pediatrics Activity
In view of International Adolescent health week had been organised from the department of paediatrics, RRMCH in association with IAP BPS and BAHA. Where, various activities were conducted from 22nd of March to 27th of March.
First day i.e on 22nd of March, Monday we had been to Balya anarth ashrama where abundant children, were educated about personal hygiene, nutrition and growth.
On 23rd of March, there was online interactive session for 9th standard students of KLE International School, nagarbavi on physical fitness by Dr. R Prema. The session had good participation from the students, where many doubts of students were cleared.
On 24th of March, we had poster presentation in BASAVA residential school for girls, which has been under our care since 14 years. We had good reactive session with the students.
On 25th of March, we all from department of paediatrics had been to nursing institute of Rajarajeswari where 3rd year students were given the theme adolescent resilience asked to prepare posters and paintings.
It was a very good interactive session with the students, Nursing Principal & Paediatric Nursing HOD.
On 26th, we had arranged a CME in Kadamba auditorium; bedin with Welcome speech by Dr. Adarsh E, we had a guest lecture by Dr. Chandrika Rao, Professor of M.S Ramaiah Medical College. Who had given an excellent talk on case based approach on Sexual abuse. The event was presided by Dr. Nithyananda(President of BAHA), Dr. Sathyamurthy (Dean of RRMCH), Dr. Praveen B.U(Vice President of RRMCH), Dr. Praveen (Medical Superintendent of RRMCH), following which we had a talk on High risk behaviour in adolescent by Dr. R. Prema (Professor & Adolescent incharge, YUVA CHETANA, Dept of Pediatrics, RRMCH). We had organised MIME done by Anushka, 1st year Medical student on smart phone addiction and road safety.
Finally two 1st year students Druvadeep & Ananya , who shared their experience during pandemic Covid-19 lockdown.
Programme was concluded with vote of thanks.
On 27th Saturday we conducted a Quiz on Adolescent health participated by Post Graduates of RRMCH.

Dr. Almas and Dr. Sanjana Kishore and other Post Graduates were also Co-ordinated.
