EPF Information and clarification Meet

EPF Information and clarification Meet – RRMCH 29/12/2025 at Kadamba Hall An EPF (Employees Provident Fund) Information Meeting held by Mr Mukut Meena, Assistant Commissioner (EPF Office , Indiranagar branch), Mr. Lokesh R, E.O Enforcement Officer (EPF Office , RR Nagar), Mr Nagaraj, SSSA Senior Social Security Assistant (EPF Office , RR Nagar), and Mr Vignesh, DEO (Data Entry Operator) was successfully conducted at RRMCH to raise awareness and enhance understanding of EPF contributions, benefits, and procedures. The session aimed to provide clear and practical information to participants, ensuring they are well-informed about their rights and responsibilities under the EPF scheme.
During the meeting, key topics such as EPF contributions, withdrawals, nomination procedures, and online EPF services were explained in detail. Participants were also guided on how EPF supports long-term financial security and retirement planning. The session included a question-and-answer segment, allowing attendees to clarify doubts and gain deeper insights into EPF-related matters.
The meeting was well received, with active participation and positive engagement from attendees. It served as a valuable platform to strengthen financial awareness and promote better planning for the future.

Christmas Celebration 2025

The spirit of Christmas filled the campus of RRMCH as students, faculty, and staff came together to celebrate the festival of joy, peace, and togetherness. The celebration was marked by warmth, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of community.

The program featured beautifully decorated surroundings, Christmas carols, cultural performances, and engaging activities organized by students. The message of love, sharing, and gratitude was highlighted through short performance and reflections, reminding everyone of the true essence of Christmas. The presence of faculty members and college leadership added grace to the occasion and encouraged students to actively participate in the festivities. Lot of fun games were played among the student and also staff. Distribution of donations were dispersed among the orphanage children. Cakes were distributed to all the partakers. The celebration concluded on a joyful note with laughter, interaction, and festive cheer, leaving behind cherished memories for everyone involved. The Christmas celebration at RRMCH truly reflected the values of unity, harmony, and celebration beyond differences.

International Infection Prevention Week & World Antimicrobial Awareness Week – 2025

The Department of Microbiology (HICC), RRMCH successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on 16th December 2025 in observance of International Infection Prevention Week and World Antimicrobial Awareness Week – 2025.

The programme was conducted under the theme “Stand, Unite, Prevent, Protect, Prevail for Infection Prevention – Act Now, Protect Our Present, and Secure Our Future.”

The CME commenced with a welcome and introductory address by Dr. Archana B R, highlighting the importance of infection prevention and control (IPC) in safeguarding patient safety and combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR). This was followed by an insightful guest lecture by Dr. Sandeep T on the role of IPC in AMR, emphasizing evidence-based practices and the urgent need for collective action.

Dr. Praveen Kumar, Medical Superintendent, delivered a brief note on institutional IPC practices, after which IPC Torch Bearers from various departments were felicitated in recognition of their dedicated contribution to infection prevention and control.

A panel discussion involving experts from Urology, Anaesthesia, Paediatrics, and Microbiology was conducted, with Dr. Sangeetha S as the moderator. The session facilitated active discussion on multidisciplinary approaches to infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship.

The programme also featured creative and cultural activities, including a skit on the development of antimicrobial resistance, a dance performance by nursing staff on needle-stick injury prevention, and a hand hygiene–themed performance by the NICU nursing team, effectively reinforcing key IPC messages.

Competitions such as quiz, rangoli, and poster presentations were conducted as part of the awareness activities, and prizes were distributed to the winners. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Lakshminarayana S A, acknowledging the contributions of speakers, participants, and organizers.

The CME successfully enhanced awareness, encouraged interdisciplinary collaboration, and reinforced the institution’s commitment to infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship.

Cooking Without Fire Competition

As part of Electives Block 1, the Department of Physiology organized a Cooking Without Fire competition on 15 December 2025 under the elective Clinical Nutrition in Health and Disease. The event aimed to strengthen students’ practical understanding of nutrition, healthy eating habits, and food safety.
Students participated enthusiastically and presented a variety of innovative, nutritious, and creatively prepared dishes without the use of fire. The competition highlighted the importance of a balanced diet, hygiene, creativity, and effective food presentation.

Dishes were evaluated based on nutritional value, innovation, hygiene, and overall appeal. The activity successfully connected theoretical concepts with practical application and encouraged awareness of healthy lifestyle practices.

The event concluded with prize distribution and active student participation, making it an engaging and educational experience for all.
