Guest Lecture by Dr. Karthik G. S. at the 72nd ISACON National Conference

Dr. Karthik G. S., Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care, RRMCH, delivered an insightful guest lecture at the 72nd Annual National Conference of Anaesthesiologists (ISACON 2025) held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

He spoke on the topic “Diabetes Insipidus After Pituitary Surgery: Perioperative Fluid and Electrolyte Management,” addressing crucial clinical challenges faced by anaesthesiologists in managing postoperative endocrine disturbances. Dr. Karthik highlighted current evidence-based practices, perioperative monitoring strategies, and the role of timely fluid and electrolyte correction in optimizing patient outcomes.

His session was well received by participants and contributed significantly to the academic discussions at the national conference. The department congratulates Dr. Karthik G. S. for representing the institution and sharing his expertise on this important subject.

ISACON 72nd National Conference

Dr. RANJITHA R Final Year Post Graduate , from the department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Dr. Ranjitha R, under the guidance of Dr. Karthik G S (Professor & HOD) has won First prize in award paper – ISA JAIPUR – Acute Pain / Perioperative Pain category at the 72nd Annual National Conference of Anesthesiologists ISACON 2025 held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. She was selected amongst 2500 participants all over India.

Hello everyone! We are truly honoured to have won the 1st prize for Paper Presentation at the 72nd National ISACON in our respective category. This achievement means a lot to us, and we wanted to share a few words of gratitude.

Right from the beginning, the department believed in our idea and guided us at every step — from designing the study, collecting data, refining the methodology, to preparing for the final presentation.

We also want to thank our HOD Dr Karthik G S sir and all the senior professors, entire faculty team of Anesthesia. Their support created an environment where academic growth and research are genuinely encouraged.

Winning at ISACON has been a very humbling moment. It motivates us to keep learning, keep researching, and keep contributing to the field of anaesthesiology. Yes, this award is not just ours — it reflects the support, trust, and encouragement we received from our college and from our Anaesthesiology department throughout the journey.

Our faculty mentors spent countless hours reviewing our work, giving critical feedback, and helping us strengthen our paper. Their patience and commitment truly shaped the quality of our research.
