Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program held at RRMCH

The Department of Paediatrics at RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital (RRMCH) successfully conducted an Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) on 20th July 2025 at the state-of-the-art Skill Lab.

This certified training program was conducted under the guidelines of the National Neonatal Resuscitation Program, backed by the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP). A total of 34 delegates from various medical institutions participated, gaining hands-on experience in essential neonatal resuscitation techniques.

The sessions were led by Dr. Umamaheswari (Lead Instructor) along with a dedicated team of faculty:
Dr. Chandrakala, Dr. Marthandappa, Dr. Shashikala, and Dr. Sahana. Dr Venkateshmurthy served as the course coordinator.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Rajanish, Professor & Head of the Department of Pediatrics, RRMCH.

This initiative is a testament to RRMCH’s commitment to improving neonatal healthcare outcomes through continuous professional training, evidence-based practices, and skill development.

RRMCH Triumphs at PROMETHEUS 2025 Inter-College Fest

On July 6, 2025, our college team proudly represented Rajarajeshwari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH) at the prestigious inter-college fest PROMETHEUS, hosted by MS Ramaiah Medical College. Competing in the “Non-Thematic Group Dance” category against six talented teams, our students showcased outstanding creativity, coordination, and energy.

We are thrilled to announce that RRMCH secured 1st place, winning the coveted title and a cash prize of ₹6,000, along with certificates awarded to each participant.

• 1st Place: Rajarajeshwari Medical College and Hospital (₹6,000) each
• 2nd Place: Harsha Institute (₹4,500) each
• 3rd Place: Department of Psychology, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (₹3,000) each

Proud Moment: ‘Young Researcher of the Year 2025’ Awarded

We are delighted to share the outstanding achievement of our final-year postgraduate student, Dr. S. Navaneetha Krishnan, from the Department of Paediatrics, who represented our institution at the 3rd World Conference on Pediatrics, Neonatology, and Infectious Diseases held on 14th and 15th July 2025 in London, United Kingdom.

Dr. Navaneetha Krishnan presented a research paper titled:“Early Postnatal Colour Doppler Changes of Anterior Cerebral Artery in Neonates Receiving Delivery Room Resuscitation”under the expert guidance of Dr. Adarsh E., Dr. Venkatesh Murthy D. V., and Dr. Sahana.

We are proud to announce that this significant research was recognized with the prestigious “Young Researcher of the Year 2025” award at the international conference.

This accolade is a testament to the high academic standards, research-oriented approach, and clinical excellence nurtured within our Department of Paediatrics. First Prize for RRMCH at BSOG PG Case Presentation

Dr Meghana Patil, PG, Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH) proudly participated in the event, CME by Bangalore Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (BSOG) – PG Training Programme on 2nd to 6th July 2025, Bangalore bringing together over 200 postgraduate students in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from institutions across India. This academically enriching event featured 24 case discussions, each designed to enhance clinical knowledge and case-based learning. More than 85 students participated in each case, making the discussions highly interactive and collaborative.

Five postgraduate students selected to represent the institution in the case presentation segment. Each student was assigned a unique topic, contributing to the diverse academic exchange.

Among the highlights of the event was the case presentation on “Urinary Incontinence”, held on 4th July 2025, conducted by a two-member team consisting of Dr. Meghana Patil from RRMCH,, OBG Department and Dr. Amrutha Gowda from ESI Medical College, Bangalore. Their exceptional presentation and clinical insights earned them First Prize, standing out among competitive entries from across the country.

This achievement reflects RRMCH’s continued commitment to academic excellence and fostering future leaders in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
