On the occasion of
“International Infection Prevention week” and
“World Antimicrobial awareness week – 2024”, the Department of Microbiology, RRMCH (HICC) had organized a CME on 5th December 2024 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm at College Auditorium (Kadamba Hall).
The theme for this program was
“ Moving the needle on Infection prevention” (IIPW) “Educate, Advocate and Act now” (WAAW)
The topics covered and the speakers for those topics were as follows:
– Antimicrobial stewardship by Dr. Srikrishna Y
– Activity on IPC (Kahoot quiz) by Dr. Archana B R
– Moving the needle on Infection prevention by Dr. Lakshminarayana S A
– Felicitation of IPC tourch bearers
– Activity on AMSP by Dr. Archana Rao K
The program was followed by a skit (IPC practices) and fashion show (BMW) by 2nd MBBS students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and refreshments to the participants.
On the occasion of
“World Premature Day” the department of Pediatrics celebrated the day with the theme being
“Access to quality care everywhere” at RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital, lead by Dr. Adarsh .E – HOD and Central IAP EB member and coordinated by DR. Sahana, Dr. Venktesmurty and Dr. Surabhi. The inauguration of the event was done by watering the plant followed by an awareness talk by our beloved HOD Dr. Adarsh E . Dietician, lactation counselors were informative in their speech. Experience was shared by parents of our NICU graduates. Program was attended by pediatricians, obstetricians, Postgraduates students, Interns & Undergraduates students. There was Cake cutting was done on the occasion.

The Department of Pediatrics, RRMCH has organized a National level quiz for UG students.
Program started by welcome speech by the Dean Dr Sathymurthy, Vice principal Dr Basavaraj Bandare and by the HOD Dr Adarsh E., Pediatrics.
Totally 5 teams were selected for semi finale round from different Medical Colllges across India.
1st team – Pushpagiri Medical College
2ND team – Belgam Institute Of Medical Sciences
3rd team – Calicut Medical College
4th team – Pudukottai Medical College
5th team – Madurai Medical College
The quiz was conducted with 6 rounds for all the teams.
The winners of this quiz competition were PUSHPAGIRI MEDICAL COLLEGE. This team entered finals.

AESTHETIC DERMATOLOGY UPDATE 2024, State level live demo workshop from basics to advanced treatments was conducted by Department of Dermatology, RRMCH in association with Bangalore Dermatology Society on 15/12/2024, led by
Dr. Belliappa PR (Organizing Chairman) and
Dr. Priya KS (Organizing Secretary), inaugurated by
Dr S Sacchidanand, Former VC RGUHS. Sessions started with Surface anatomy on cadaver demonstrated by
Dr. Yogitha R from St.JMC, Dr. Shruthi B N and Dr. Akshay Samagani moderated the session. Renowned national faculties
Dr. Gulhima Arora and Dr. Sachin Verma conducted the rest of the sessions. More than 150 delegates attended this workshop from different parts of the country.
