The program started with inauguration with lighting the lamp by Dr. Satyamurthy- Dean, RRMCH, Dr.praveen – Medical Superintendent, RRMCH, Dr. Adarsh E – Professor and HOD, Dept of Paediactrics, Dr. Balasubramian – Principal for Physiotherapy College, Dr. Meena – Principal of Allied Health Science, Dr. Prema – professor and Secretary Head of Karnataka Adolescent Health Academy and Ms. Uma Devi – Principal of nursing college.
Nursing college, Physiotherapy College, RRMCH – Dept of Pediatrics, Faculty and students attended the program. More than 200 participants attended the program. Various activities were conducted to create awareness regarding International Adolescent Health Week with theme “Perfect Lifestyle Makes Stronger Lifeline”. Activities like flashmob, role play, debate, and ramp walk was conducted using the theme. The program came to conclusion with appreciation by all participants.

The Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, RRMCH celebrated
“World Anaesthesia Day” at College Auditorium (Kadamba Hall) on December 03, 2024 with this year’s theme – ‘Workforce Well- being’.
As a part of “World Anaesthesia Day”, a written quiz program was conducted on October 21, 2024 to short list the candidate and oral quiz
was conducted on November 04,2024 in seminar hall of Department of Anaesthesiology.
Dr. Rangalakshmi. S. (HOD and Professor) in her welcome speech greeted the attendees and dignitaries, followed by a brief introduction
about the chief guest Dr. Subramanyam S Mahankali from RV Aster hospital Bangalore.
Then followed by invocation song by the postgraduates. The highlight of the day was talk by the chief guest Dr. Subramanyam S. Mahankali
about “Workforce Wellbeing”. The winners of quiz program were awarded followed by a video “Heroes Without Capes”, skit with the theme of workforce well-being by postgraduate students. General quiz was conducted for audience using software Menti-meter and winners were awarded. The session concluded with National anthem followed by lunch.

RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital held a White Coat Ceremony for all newly admitted students. The event was organized by the Department of Physiology and presided over by Dean Dr. Sathyamurthy B., Principal Dr. Naveen, Vice Principal Dr. Basavraj Bhandare, Medical Superintendent Dr. Praveen Kumar, and other dignitaries.
The Honourable Chief Guest, Dr. G. S. Venkatesh, Registrar at MS Ramaiah University of Allied Sciences, graced the occasion. The ceremony was inaugurated by HOD of Physiology, Dr. Jamuna, followed by an address from the Dean, who emphasized the significance of the white coat as a symbol of purity. He expounded on the responsibilities that students assume as they don the coat and the respect owed to the medical profession.
During a ceremonial moment, all dignitaries felicitated the Chief Guest. Dr. G. S. Venkatesh then took to the stage to address the gathering, captivating students with his experiences in medical college and the wonderful years that lie ahead of them. He encouraged students to build good rapport with their seniors and highlighted the importance of a traditional diagnostic approach: listening, conducting physical examinations, performing diagnostic tests, and arriving at the best explanation for illnesses.
Following the Chief Guest’s speech, students who participated in and won the Poster Competition on AI in Healthcare were presented with awards. The students were ceremonially assisted by faculty in donning their white coats, followed by an oath-taking ceremony.
Kudos to the Department of Physiology for organizing a successful ceremony, and congratulations to the new medical students as they embark on this important phase of their lives!

Dr. R. Prema, Professor, Department of Pediatrics at #RRMCH, actively participated in the National Adolescent Conference, ADOLESCON 2024 as Faculty and National Coordinator for the Endocrine Pre-Conference Workshop.
Dr. Prema delivered an insightful talk on
“Growth in Puberty” along with hands-on training, which was highly appreciated by the attendees. She also contributed to a dynamic panel discussion on
“New Age Parenting.”
With over 700 delegates in attendance, the workshop and her contributions received great recognition. Congratulations to
Dr. Prema for her outstanding work!

The Orientation Program for the new MBBS students-2024-2025 batch of RajaRajeswari Medical College was held on 14th October 2024 with an
fervor participation from the students, their parents, dignitaries, and faculty members, who all graced the occasion with their encouraged presence. A Pooja and Homa were conducted marking the auspicious beginning. Next there was a brief description of the institute and a presentation on Student Mentorship Program of RRMCH. They were acquainted with the opportunities they will be receiving under the Student Mentorship Program and all the support and guidance that they will be getting from the team. Then the students were given an introduction regarding the academics, disciplines and environment at the institute, the facilities and infrastructure of college, hostels, mess and the food. Librarian explained the details about the vast resources and knowledge repository available at the library. The program came to conclusion with a enjoyable food served to the new students and their wards also.
