Department of Pediatrics has organized a Pre conference Workshop on …………… Title: NCDP National conference of Development Pediatrics Date: 30th August, 2024 Time: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Venue: Kadamba Hall (College Auditorium) and Banquet Hall ALL ARE CORDIALLY INVITED The Department of Pediatrics, RRMCH has organized “A 21st NATIONAL CONFERENC OF DEVELOPMENTAL PEDIATRICS” in collaboration with National Developmental Forum, which is sub-specialty of central IAP, where 46,000 pediatricians/ members of this association are participating, which makes it a 2nd biggest association in the world. Dr. Adarsh.E, Prof and HOD, Dept of Pediatrics, RRMCH is the organizing chairperson of this conference, along with Dr. Sahaya Nirmala as organizing secretary. This National conference will be held on 30th, 31st August and 1st September 2024. “RAJARAJESWARI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL” is a co-host along with “Divecha Center for Climate Change, IISC, Bangalore” and “IAP BPS, Bangalore”. According to the Association of Plastic Surgeons in India (APSI), it was, last year, announced that the day will be celebrated across the globe as the World Plastic Surgery Day, making it an excellent opportunity for the international plastic surgery community to come together on a single platform, speak with one voice, and address common issues and to be a springboard for awareness-raising actions.

Doctors Day Celebration

Date: 18/07/2024(Thursday) Time: 10:30AM to 4:00 PM Venue: Kadamba Hall (College Auditorium) ALL ARE CORDIALLY INVITED Doctor’s Day Celebration at RRMCH to pay tribute to the dedication and contributions of healthcare professionals nationwide. Marking the National Doctor’s Day on 1st July 2024 (honoring the birth & death anniversary and legacy of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy), RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH) celebrated Doctor’s Day and conducted various events on July 18th, 2024. Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. A. C. Shanmugam, Founder Chancellor of RRMCH, the highlight of the event was the felicitation of five distinguished senior doctors from RRMCH, recognized for their exceptional service and leadership in healthcare and medical education. Closing Ceremony Of Mbbs Phase-1 2023-24 Batch

Date: 5/7/2024 To officially conclude the MBBS Phase-I 2023-24 Batch, as a part of curriculum by NMC, closing session on the AETCOM module 1.5 “The cadaver as our first teacher” was conducted on 5/7/2024. During the session students were asked to share their feedback & write reflective writing on how the cadaver helped them to learn Anatomy, their experience with dissection. A Collage competition was conducted on the same topic & the prizes were announced. Students also bowed in gratitude to show respect for donors & donor families.

Workshop on NNF Shine South Zone Phase 2

Date: 8th July, 2024 Time: 08:30 AM Venue: Skill Lab, CCL building, RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital The department of Pediatrics, RajaRajeshwari Medical College and Hospital had organize a “National Neonatology Forum Shine South Zone phase-2” workshop on 8th July, 2024 in association with Indian academy of pediatrics in RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, Skill Lab , CCL building from 8:30 am under the leadership of Dr Adarsh , HOD, Dept of Pediatrics, coordinator for the program was Dr Sahana.G, Professor, Dept of Pediatrics. Program was inaugurated by Dr B Sathyamurthy (Dean) ,Dr Adarsh E (HOD) and Dr Praveen (Medical Superintendent) There were 42 delegates from various Medical Colleges who attended the program. Pretest was conducted before the start of program. The workshop had 8 workstations, of which four work stations were conducted in morning session and four were conducted in the afternoon. Eminent faculties from various parts of Karnataka took over the workshop. Beneficiaries were the 42 delegates from the various medical colleges who participated in work.

Organ Donation Awareness Kiosk

Dates: July 1st – July 31st Venue: Hospital Lobby, RajaRajeshwari Medical College & Hospital The Department of Community Medicine, RajaRajeshwari Medical College & Hospital has organized a “Organ Donation Awareness Kiosk” from July 1st, 2024 to July 31st, 2024. This initiative aims to educate and inspire the community about the importance and impact of organ donation. Key Highlights are:
  • Educational Materials: Informative brochures, pamphlets, and posters detailing the process, benefits, and myths about organ donation.
  • Expert Sessions: Interactive sessions with medical professionals who will provide insights and answer queries related to organ donation.
  • Registration Booth: On-site facilities for individuals to pledge their organs and register as donors.

Role play on organ donation conducted by dept of community medicine in chuchunkuppe village On 10th July 2024 Health awareness activity (role play) on organ and tissue donation was conducted in Bangarappanagar bus stand, opposite to Global Institute of Technology on 11th July 2024. It was organized by Department of Community Medicine involving UG students and PGs from department of Community Medicine.

Walkaton – Doctor’s Day

Date: 2nd july 2024 Time: 8:30 am Venue: RRMCH On the occasion of “Doctors Day – 2024”, RRMCH has organised “WALKATON” on 2nd July 2024. National Doctors Day acknowledges the critical role doctors play in society. From providing routine medical care to responding to emergencies, doctors are the backbone of the healthcare system. Every year on July 1st, India celebrates National Doctors Day, a day dedicated to recognizing the invaluable contributions of doctors to the society. This day serves as a reminder of the selfless service and dedication of medical professionals who work tirelessly to ensure the health and well-being of the people. July 1st, 2024 – Our beloved Chancellor and founder Dr. A C Shanmugham with gusto wished all the Doctors for their great contribution of selfless services followed by cake cutting and wishing all the doctors with offering roses as a token of gratitude. July 2nd, 2024 – This year the theme for the ‘International Doctors Day’ is “Healing Hands, Caring Hearts.” RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital doctors and the management eagerly participated in the “Walkaton 2.0”. They took initiative to walk for more than 4 kilometers to set an exemplar for Healthier life. The Chief guest for this program was Mr. Vijay Bharajwad, Cricketer and Commentator. Walkaton-2.0 was inaugurated and flagged by the Chief Guest. The guest was felicitated by Dean and Medical Superitendent. Each and every individual walked and made the initiative successful. The program came to an end with providing healthy snacks to all the participants.

World Vitiligo Day 2024

On the eve of World Vitiligo Day, Department of Dermatology, Rajarajeshwari Medical College and Hospital conducted skit to spread social awareness emphasizing on the theme United by the skin,a school scenario was done to create the awareness among the school students to not outcast the child with vitiligo, a marriage scenario was done to eradicate the taboo of spreading of Vitiligo to the partners and the future generation. We hadorganized poster competition themed Embracing twin tones and UG Quiz with special emphasis on Vitiligo, conducted by quiz master Dr. Akshay, Asst. Prof, on 24th June 2024. On World Vitiligo Day, state level CME was organized by our department on recent updates on pathogenesis, medical and surgical management. Sessions were enriched by renowned expert faculties like Dr. PrabhakarSangolli, Dr. Ishwara Bhat, Dr. Nandini AS, Dr.Eswari L and Dr. Harish Prasad. An extensive panel discussion was done by all the faculty. Winners of the competitions were felicitated. All the postgraduates and faculty of the department took the pledge to provide psychological support with medical care.
