Orientation Programme of MBBS Phase – 1 (2024 – 25 Batch)

Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM(Pooja) ACS Convention Hall.
Afternoon Session: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Orientation)
Venue: Kadamba Auditorium.
The Orientation Program for the new MBBS students-2024-2025 batch of RajaRajeswari Medical College was held on 14th October 2024  with an fervor participation from the students, their parents, dignitaries, and faculty members, who all graced the occasion with their encouraged presence. A Pooja and Homa were conducted marking the auspicious beginning. Next there was a brief description of the institute and a presentation on Student Mentorship Program of RRMCH. They were acquainted with the opportunities they will be receiving under the Student Mentorship Program and all the support and guidance that they will be getting from the team. Then the students were given an introduction regarding the academics, disciplines and environment at the institute, the facilities and infrastructure of college, hostels, mess and the food. Librarian explained the details about the vast resources and knowledge repository available at the library. The program came to conclusion with a enjoyable food served to the new students and their wards also.

The World Suicide Prevention Day Awareness Walkaton Held In Channasandra

Date: 30th September 2024
Place: UHTC Channasandra.
The event was led by Dr. Shashikala Manjunatha, Professor and Head of the Department of Community Medicine, RRMCH focusing on raising awareness about suicide prevention and mental health with help of banner and other health educational materials. Dr. Manasa A.R (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Community Medicine) along with postgraduate students Dr. P. Sri Harshitha and Dr. Nitish Kumar Dhal, participated in the campain around the area. Undergraduate (MBBS) and paramedical students also took part, and the staff from UHTC played an active role in coordinating the program. RRMCH provided refreshments and transportation, contributing to the successful conclusion of the event.

Faculty Achievement – ICMR Fund receipt

It is happy to share with all that Dr. Prabhakara S, Professor & Head, Department of Genetics & Central Research Lab got Second Year ICMR funding of Rupees Nineteen lakhs nineteen thousand and forty-three (Rs.1919043) for the ICMR project. The project entitled ”Identification and Screening of candidate genes for Paroxysmal Movement Disorders by Next Generation sequencing approach for developing molecular diagnostics”. The Management of RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital congratulates our Central Research Lab Research faculty Dr. Prabhakara S for getting ICMR Grant.
