On the occasion of International day 26th June 2024 against drug abuse and illicit trafficking Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital organized a Drug awareness programme on 25/06/2024, the program was conducted by Shri. Binod KR Ram, Intelligence officer, Narcotic Control Bureau & team in basement lecture hall (College Block) from 12.00 pm to 1.00 Pm. Shri. Binod KR Ram enumerated what are narcotics and impact of drug abuse.
The event was chaired by Dr. Sathyamurthy. B – Dean, Dr. Basavaraj Bandari – Vice Principal, Dr. Praveen Kumar- Medical Superintendent.
The drug awareness programme was attended by HOD’s, Faculty of various specialities, 3rd and final Year M.B.B.S Students.

It is privileged to share with all that ‘RRMCH women’s throw ball team’ have made us extremely proud by winning the throw ball tournament organized by JSS Medical College.
JSS Medical College had organized a Sports Fest “TATVAM 2024” on 12th, 13th and 14th of June 2024 in which they had organised Throw ball, Cricket, and Chess competitions.
The RRMCH Women’s Throw ball Team won the Throw ball tournament playing against the home team “JSS Medical College” in the finals. There were a total of 9 teams which participated in the throw ball tournament and RRMCH emerged as a winner.
It is great to share with all that our Cultural Dance Team – RRMCH , had participated in group dance competition held at Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College (Bowring Hospital) which had organized a fest “AURELION – 2024”. Among 14 competents our team has manage to grab the second place.

A CME on “Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) 0n 14th June 2024. It was conducted in Skill Lab, RRMCH by the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Ambareesha Mairpadi, Prof & HOD, Dept of Emergency Medicine demonstrate the changes in BLS & ACLS in 2020 with AHA guidelines and recommendations and presented an overview of BLS and ACLS.
Dr Sowmya Subhra Datta, Asst Prof, Dept of Emergency Medicine took initiative as a high performance team management in Cardiac arrest.
Dr. Shabbir Shekhli, Assoc Prof and Dr Sowmya Subhra Datta did hands-on training for code blur management of ventricular fibrillation. Pulse less ventricular Tachycardia and Non-shocked rhythms ( A-systole and Pulse less Electrical Activity).
The session was conducted for two different batches of Post Graduates and faculty from 10:30 am to 12:30 and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
About 125 delegates participated for each session. A pre CME Questionnaire and post CME questionnaire were given and feedback form was also collected from the delegates.
There was enough time given for the questionnaires in the “Question and Answer” session. The program came an end with vote of thanks.
