World AIDS Day – 2023

An awareness campaign on HIV/AIDS was organized on the occasion of World AIDS Day 2023 at UHTC Channasandra by Department of Community Medicine. The theme for this year was “Let Communities Lead”. The campaign was coordinated by Dr. Manasa A R, Asst Prof, Dept of Community Medicine, Post Graduate students- Dr.Sabarinath, Dr.Sri Harshitha, Dr.Sethu Arumugam & Mr.Sampath Kumar, Health inspector, UHTC Channasandra. Every year, on 1 December, the world commemorates World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with and affected by HIV and to remember those who lost their lives to AIDS. The world can end AIDS, with communities leading the way. Let Communities Lead, UNAIDS reveals that the world can end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030, but only if communities are fully included and are sufficiently funded to lead the way.   View Event Report

Karnataka Rajyotsava – 2023

Rajarajeshwari Medical College and Hospital celebrated “68th Kannada Rajyotsava” program at Kadamba Hall at Rajarajeshwari Medical College. Veteran actor Ramesh Bhatt was the chief guest and radio jockey Pradeep K P was the guest of honor Dr. A.C. Shanmugam, Founder Chancellor of Rajarajeshwari Medical College, President ACS Er. Arun Kumar, Managing Trustee Mrs. S. Lalithalakshmi, Dr. Vijayananda, Executive Director, Mr. Seetharam, Chief Executive Director, Dean Dr. Sathyamurthy, Principal Dr. Naveen, Medical Superintendent Dr. Praveen Kumar and all the team of doctors, staff of the hospital were participated in the program. Karnataka Rajyotsava, also known as Karnataka State Day, is a state public holiday and celebrated on 1 November of every year. This was the day in 1956 when all the Kannada language-speaking regions of south western India were merged to form the state of Karnataka.   Kannada Rajyotsava also known as Karnataka Formation Day is celebrated on 1 November of every year. This was the day in 1956 when all the Kannada language-speaking regions of South India were merged to form the state of Karnataka. RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital also celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava by hoisting the Karnataka flag with due respect and head of the institution participated in the celebration.   View Event Report
