An awareness campaign on HIV/AIDS was organized on the occasion of World AIDS Day 2023 at UHTC Channasandra by Department of Community Medicine. The theme for this year was “Let Communities Lead”. The campaign was coordinated by Dr. Manasa A R, Asst Prof, Dept of Community Medicine, Post Graduate students- Dr.Sabarinath, Dr.Sri Harshitha, Dr.Sethu Arumugam & Mr.Sampath Kumar, Health inspector, UHTC Channasandra. Every year, on 1 December, the world commemorates World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with and affected by HIV and to remember those who lost their lives to AIDS. The world can end AIDS, with communities leading the way. Let Communities Lead, UNAIDS reveals that the world can end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030, but only if communities are fully included and are sufficiently funded to lead the way.

Children’s Day is celebrated across India to raise awareness about the rights, education, and welfare of children. It is celebrated on 14 November every year on the birthday of the first prime minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was known to have been fond of children.
