World Alzheimer’s Day – Each September, people unite from all corners of the world to raise awareness and to challenge the stigma that persists around
Alzheimer’s disease and all types of dementia.
Rose Day (Welfare of Cancer patients) – World Rose Day for the welfare of cancer patients worldwide is celebrated annually on the
22nd of September. This day aims to encourage and support those people who are fighting their battle against cancer.
Every year these groups and individuals bring their local flair, favor and colors to festivities, marking the day by sharing heart healthy regional specialties, leading a dance to get the whole community moving, and sharing life-saving lessons far and wide.
International Translation Day is an international day recognizing translation professionals. It is on
30 September, which is the day of the feast of
St. Jerome, the Bible translator who is considered the patron saint of translators.
International Week of the Deaf is celebrated annually across the world during the last full week of September since 2009. In 2018, it was celebrated together with the official International Day of Sign Languages, declared by the United Nations, for the first time.
International Day of Sign Languages is celebrated annually across the world on
23 September every year along with International Week of the Deaf. The choice of 23 September is the same date that the World Federation of the Deaf was established in 1951.

The Orientation Program for the new MBBS students-2023-2024 batch of RajaRajeswari Medical College was held on
15th September 2023 with an overwhelming participation from the students, their parents, dignitaries, and faculty members, who all graced the occasion with their enthused presence. A Pooja and Homa were conducted marking the auspicious beginning.
Next there was a brief description of the institute and a presentation on Student Mentorship Program of RRMCH. They were acquainted with the opportunities they will be receiving under the Student Mentorship Program and all the support and guidance that they will be getting from the team. Then the students were given an introduction regarding the academics, disciplines and environment at the institute, the facilities and infrastructure of college, hostels, mess and the food. Librarian explained the details about the vast resources and knowledge repository available at the library. The program came to conclusion with a delightful food served to the new students and their wards also.
