International Day of Democracy – In 2007 the United Nations General Assembly resolved to observe
15 September as the International Day of Democracy—with the purpose of promoting and upholding the principles of democracy.
Hindi Day is celebrated in India to commemorate the date
14 September 1949 on which a compromise was reached—during the drafting of the Constitution of India—on the languages that were to have official status in the Republic of India.
Engineer’s Day is observed in several countries on various dates of the year. On 25 November 2019, based on a proposal by the World Federation of Engineering Organizations, UNESCO has proclaimed March 4 as ‘UNESCO World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development’.

We are delighted to share with you the highlights of the grand Doctors Day celebration and felicitation event that took place on
28th August 2023 at RRMCH Medical College. The event was graced by our esteemed Founder Chancellor,
Dr. AC Shanmugham Sir, and the esteemed Chief Guest,
Mrs. Yasiel Burillo Rivera.
The event began with a warm welcome and introduction of the distinguished guests by Dean
Dr Sathyamurthy.
Dr. AC Shanmugham Sir, the visionary behind the establishment of RRMCH Medical College, shared his insights on the significance of Doctors Day and the exemplary contributions of the medical fraternity in providing healthcare services to the community. His inspiring words ignited a sense of pride and motivation among the attendees.

“Anti ragging day” was observed at RRMCH on
18/8/2023 as a part of activities on the occasion of Anti Ragging Week which was held from
12th August 2023 to
18th August 2023. The activities conducted were like anti-ragging awareness seminar, essay writing competition & a meme making contest. Highlights of anti ragging day included welcome speech by the Dean, RRMCH
Dr. Satyamurthy, followed by a Talk on ragging, its effect on mental health, offenses under Cr PC by
Ms. Sahana Reddy – SI, Kumbalgodu Police station. She also gave away certificates to the essay & meme competition winners. Vote of thanks was given by
Dr. Praveen. The program was organized & coordinated by
ARCC Chairperson Dr. Sangeetha Sampath, Professor Dept. of Microbiology, RRMCH.
