Dr.Manjula K S – PTM committee chairperson. Inaugural speech was delivered by the Dean, Dr. Satyamurthy B. Then followed by the Parents Teacher Interaction.

The main purpose of the World Environment Day is to spread awareness about the current conditions of the Environment. On this day people come together to join in efforts to improve our life. Every year there is one theme or Environmental problem which is focused upon and a pledge to combat that problem is taken that year. Organizations all around the World come together on this day, to take small steps to improve our future. Schools and offices encourage workers and students to plant trees or clean up some local land. These small efforts can leave a big impact on the Environment. Therefore, this Day serves as an eye-opener for many citizens who are unaware of all this. It spreads awareness to ordinary people about the current situation. In addition, it also encourages everyone to keep their Environment safe and clean so that everyone has a clean, green and prosperous future.
The Management, Raja Rajeswari Medical College and Hospital in coordination with the Department of Civil planted many saplings around the Campus of RRMCH to mark this Day.

The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated across the world annually on June 21 since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014.Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in ancient India.
Biochemistry Department being the coordinating Department for International Yoga Day 2023 with the theme
‘Yoga for Humanity”, conducted ‘4 days
(16th, 17th, 19th and 20th June 2023) of training program for
3rd year and
4th year MBBS students followed by Yoga Day celebration. On
21st June 2023 the program started at
10:30am. All the students and faculty assembled in Kadamba Hall.
