International Nurses Day is a global event celebrated on 12th May every year to commemorate the work of nurses in healthcare, for their diligence and service to society. The date was chosen as it is the birth date of Florence Nightingale, a British social reformer and the founder of modern nursing.
Our Nurses. Our Future will be a global campaign which sets out what we want for nursing in the future in order to address the global health challenges and improve global health for all. We need to learn from the lessons of the pandemic and translate these into actions of the future.
