Congratulation Dr. Anagha for being invited as a guest Trainer at RDT Govt Medical College, AP

The management and the staff, RRMCH congratulate Dr ANAGHA M V, Assistant Professor and Interventional Pain Specialist, Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital for being invited as special guest to train Anesthesiologists of RDT Government Medical College and Hospital, Andhra Pradesh on 6th May 2023 for Radio-frequency ablation for pain procedures. It is a pride moment that he has performed supra scapular nerve ablation for shoulder pain using radio-frequency ablation for first time in entire Andhra Pradesh.

BLS & ACLS CME & WORKSHOP – 2023

Departments of Emergency Medicine along with the Department of Anaesthesia and critical care of Rajarajeswari Medical college & Hospital conducted Adult Basic Life support & Advanced Cardiac life support on 2nd May 2023. All the critical and semi critical departments along with support departments of the hospital staff took part in programme.   Dr. Sahajananda welcomed the gathering and invited Dr.Ambareesh who is a AHA trained faculty from the Departments of Emergency Medicine to start the programme. He gave an overview of the BLS and NALS. He also mentioned the changes in the recent guidelines.Dr.Ambareesh invited Dr.Harshith Mundra to conduct the hands-on workshop using inter-active mannequin and AHA materials. Dr.Harshith is AHA trained faculty from the Departments of Emergency Medicine, Manipal Hospital Bengaluru.   Totally 154 delegates were present in the morning session & 143 participants were present in the afternoon session. Clinical interventions initiated as per the clinical requirements. ‘Hands on’ training of the delegates was done.  

NALS CME & WORKSHOP 2023

Department of Perdiatrics, Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital conducted Neonatal Basic Life support & Advanced Cardiac life Support on 27thApril 2023. All the critical and semi critical departments along with support departments of the hospital staff took part in programme.

Dr. Sahajananda welcomed the gathering and invited Dr.Sahanan who is an AHA trained faculty from the department of Paediatrics to start the programme. She gave an overview of the BLS and NALS. She also mentioned the changes in the recent guidelines.

Totally 30 delegates were present. Clinical interventions initiated as per the clinical requirements. Hands on training of the delegates was done in the skills Lab.

PALS CME & WORKSHOP 2023

Safety committee & Emergency Medicine of Rajarajeswari Medical College Hospital conducted Paediatric Basic Life support & Advanced Cardiac life support on 27th April 2023. All the critical and semi critical departments along with support departments of the hospital staff took part in programme.

Dr. Sahajananda welcomed the gathering and invited Dr.Ambareesh who is a AHA trained faculty from the department of Emergency medicine to start the programme. He gave an overview of the BLS and PALS. He also mentioned the changes in the recent guidelines.

Totally 57 participants were present. Clinical interventions initiated as per the clinical requirements. Hands on training was also done.

Code black – 2023

Clinical Safety committee of Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital conducted ‘Code black’ Mock drill on 25th April 2023. All the clinical departments’ along with the staff from the supporting departments of the hospital took part in the drill. Code black was announced intimating the reception of RTA on Mysore Road and the code black subcommittee along with the concerned staff rushed to the ER. Medical Superintendant office also was informed, and a command centre was established. Security personnel managed the crowd and facilitated the free movement of the patients to the respective triage areas. Totally 13 patients were received in Ambulances. Clinical interventions initiated as per the clinical requirements. One unresponsive patient was given CPR as per the AHA guidelines. After attending all the patients, code black was deactivated. Debriefing session was held in MS office.  

World Malaria Day- 2023

World Malaria Day is observed annually on 25 April 2023, to bring global attention to the efforts being made to bring an end to malaria and encourage action to reduce suffering and death from the disease. In view of the World Malaria Day 2023 theme – “Time to deliver zero malaria: invest, innovate, implement”. Fastest finger first, competition was organized by the Department of Microbiology for II MBBS students on 27/04/ 2023. The fastest first finger competition was conducted by Dr. Yashaswini M. K. and the 6 toppers were selected to form 3 teams. Team A: Chandan Kar and Faizan Ahmed Mir Team B: Swati Sudha Das and Deesha Prasad Team C: Neha Rakesh Nair and Anokhi M Picture quiz was later conducted by Dr. Archana Rao.
