World Health Day – 2023

On the occasion of “World Health Day” a CME was organized on Nursing Skills by the Department of Nursing in association with AMS (Advanced Medical Solutions) on 12/04/2023.

The CME was attended by the all the nursing staff, technical staff and trainee nurses.

The program started with a invocation song and lighting the Lamp followed by Dr. Praveen Kumar welcome speech addressing the gathering. Dr.Sahajananda delivered an introductory speech highlighting the importance of World health Day and the best nursing practices.He also stressed the need for developing and Nurturing nursing skills.

Dr.Kruthi from Surgery department spoke on surgical site infections and prevention.

Dr. Renuka Maladad, Professor, RRMCH Nursing college delivered a lecture on Head trauma and nursing management in the ER. Sunitha Pamu from AMS spoke on Compassion, postoperative nursing management and leadership qualities.

The program came to end with Ms.Benedict Manuel delivering vote of thanks.

Autism Awareness Program – 2023

An informative awareness program about Autism in children was conducted by the Department of Pediatrics at Rajarajeswari medical College and Hospital on 6th April 2023. The program began with an informative talk by Dr Adarsh E, Professor and Head of department, where he emphasized about the theme of this year, “Transforming the Narrative: Contributions at home, at work, in the arts and in policymaking”. It was followed by a wonderful enactment of Autism spectrum in children by our residents and interns with our special educator Mr. Chand Pasha. Red flags of Autism were re-emphasized by our Special Educator Miss Janaki. Program was concluded with few parents of especially abled children expressing their experience about the rehabilitative services provided at Rajarajeswari neurodevelopment centre and how it has benefited in the overall development of their children.
