Parent Teacher Committee Meeting for 2015-16 MBBS batch
The Parent Teacher Committee Meeting for 2015-16 MBBS batch will be conducted on 09.12.2015 at Kadamba Hall. The agenda for the meeting will be to discuss the academic progress and welfare of the students with their parents and inform them regarding the academic and attendance criteria to be fulfilled for eligibility to appear in the RGUHS University examination.
Dr.H.V.Shetty, Dean, Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital, welcomed the parents on behalf of the management, administrators and teaching staff of the Pre-clinical departments explained the importance of calling this meeting of the parents of students.
He explained the importance of the following agenda in detail.
1. Specific academic criteria and attendance criteria to be fulfilled in order to appear for RGUHS examination
2. Emphasis was given on the importance of attending both theory and practical in all three Internal Assessment examinations conducted by the college.
3. Fifty parents attended the meeting on 9th December 2015. Four parents met all the three Pre-clinical HOD’s two to three days earlier as they were not able to meet on 9th December. Two parents met HOD’s after the next day of the meeting.
All the three Pre-clinical departments HOD’s and all the mentors were present during the meeting. Mentors and HOD’s also explained about the attendance and internal assessment marks and their importance during the meeting.
The Dean was happy with the positive response and suggestions received from the parents.
Follow-up
Some parents who were unable to attend the meeting on 9th December met the respective HOD’s on the next day.
At the end of the meeting Dr.S.M.R.Usha, Parents- Teacher Committee Chairperson thanked all the parents, HOD’s and mentors of the Pre-clinical Departments for their active participation and cooperation extended during the meeting.
