Republic Day (India) 2026

Republic Day is a national holiday in India commemorating the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of India and the country’s transition to a republic which came into effect on 26 January 1950.
RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India on January 26 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The occasion commemorated the historic adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950, marking India’s journey as a sovereign republic.
The celebration began with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag, symbolizing unity, sovereignty, and integrity. Faculty, students, and staff stood in respectful attention, expressing their pride and commitment to the nation.
Sweets were distributed to mark the occasion, promoting a sense of joy and togetherness among the participants. The event served as a reminder of the values of justice, equality, and liberty enshrined in the Constitution of India.
