Second Parent Teacher Interaction for 2017-18 MBBS batch

The second Parent Teacher Interaction for 2017-18 MBBS batch will be conducted from 23.4.2018 to 26.4.2018 in batches. The agenda for the meeting will be to discuss with the parents, the academic progress, student welfare and remedial actions taken by mentors to improve performance and emphasize on maintaining the academic and attendance criteria needed to be fulfilled to appear in the RGUHS University examination.

The parents were greeted by the receptionist, Ms. Suma. After refreshments she directed them to the library of Dept. of Physiology to meet the respective mentors. The parents were shown their respective ward’s test & 2nd internal assessment marks and attendance particulars in the presence of their ward, by the respective mentors.The parents were taken by respective mentors to the HOD’s they wished to see for further clarification & advice. Emphasis was given on maintaining the academic criteria as well as attendance required to be eligible to appear for RGUHS examination.

Counseling and advice were given on an individual basis. Respective HODs explained the parents about the remedial actions taken by the mentors to improve their academic performance. The parents were then thanked for attending and actively participating in the parent – teacher interaction meeting. Parents were requested to fill in the feedback forms given to them. Duly filled feedback forms were handed over to the Feedback Committee. Parents were happy with the conduct of the meeting and the attention and counselling given under the mentorship program.

Follow up

Details of Parents attending the meeting was documented. Parents who could not attend the meeting on that day came to meet the respective staff members on the next day. Performance and remedial measures were discussed with the parents including maintenance of adequate attendance by the students as per RGUHS requirements.

Students performing well in academics were encouraged to participate in quiz programmes, academic competitions. Students interested in extracurricular activities were further encouraged to do so.
At the end of the meeting Dr.S.M.R.Usha, Parents- Teacher Committee Chairperson thanked all the parents, HOD’s and mentors of the Pre-clinical Departments for their active participation and cooperation extended during the meeting.
