World Down Syndrome Day 2023

On the occasion of ‘Down’s syndrome Day’ on 21st March 2023 the Department of Paediatrics at RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital along with Department of Physiotherapy observed ‘World Down’s syndrome Day’ by an informative awareness programme of Health surveillance of Down’s Syndrome child & interventions at Kadamba hall (College Auditorium).

The event was organised by Department of Physiotherapy, the Department of paediatrics, under the leadership of Prof & HOD, Dr. Adarsh E. and with the Co-ordination of Dr. Pratibha, professor of paediatrics.

The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Dean Dr.Sathyamurthy, Physiotherapy HOD and Dr. Adarsh E and Down’s syndrome children followed by a brief talk on Down’s syndrome by Dr.Adarsh E & Health surveillance in Down’s Syndrome child, Antenatal diagnosis, genetics counselling by department of pediatric PG’s.

The programme was attended by 150 people including Down’s syndrome children and their parents, Department of Physiotherapy staff and students, Dept of Paediatrics staff, post graduates and ,edictal students. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks with making the programme successful.
