World Hearing Day Celebration 2026

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head & neck surgery (ENT) celebrated World Hearing Day on March 4 th with an awareness program conducted in the hospital lobby. The event aimed to highlight the importance of ear and hearing care, promote early detection of hearing loss, and educate the public about preventive measures. The world hearing day 2026 theme is From communities to classrooms: Hearing care for all children. The programcommenced with an inaugural address by the Head of the Department of ENT Dr T.M.Nagaraj, who emphasized the global burden of hearing loss and the need for early identification and intervention.
This was followed by an address by our Medical Superintendent Dr Praveen Kumar sir, who spoke about the importance of public awareness regarding hearing health. He emphasized the responsibility of healthcare institutions and professionals in educating the community about preventive ear care and ensuring that individuals with hearing difficulties seek timely medical attention.
