World Kidney Day 2022

World Kidney Day 2022 celebration was organized by the Department of Nephrology and Internal Medicine of RajaRajeswari Medical College and hospital, at Kadamba Auditorium on 17th March 2022 from 11.30 am to 1.00 pm. Dr KL Gupta, former Professor and Head of the department of Nephrology, PGIMER, Chandigarh was the Guest Speaker. The programme started with a welcome to the chief guest and the audience by the HOD of Nephrology, Dr. M S Prakash. Dr Preeti Kumar and Dr Mridubhashini, 2nd-year medicine residents spoke about world kidney day’s aims and objectives and took through the journey of world kidney day from 2006-to 2022. Dr KL Gupta delivered a lecture on this year’s theme ‘Kidney Health for All – Bridge the gap to better kidney care’. The guest speaker was felicitated by Dr AC Shanmugam, Chairman of RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions. As a part of the celebration, a Nephrology quiz competition was conducted for post-graduate students in Medicine by Dr S.M.Prasad, Assistant professor of Nephrology. Dr Snigdha, Dr Shreyas MP and Dr Niranjana won the prizes. Prizes were distributed by Dr KL Gupta, Chief Guest. The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr Bhavya, Assistant professor of Nephrology and high tea.
