WORLD TB DAY 2022

World TB day was celebrated on 24th March 2022 in Microbiology laboratory, Hospital building, RRMCH, Bangalore to Creating/ bringing awareness of TB among technicians & students. Training session was conducted by Dr. Kirtilaxmi K B & moderated by Dr. Lakshminarayana S A for all the technicians and students (B.Sc MLT, DMLT & BPT students). Following points were discussed in training: • Importance of the World TB day celebrated on 24th March 2022 • Theme of the World TB day 2022. • Role of IGRA & CBNAAT in diagnosis of latent tuberculosis & active tuberculosis. • Role & targets of NTEP in elimination of TB in India. Pre-test & Post test sessions were conducted & there was tremendous improvement after the training session. Documentation of the same was done.
