New & Auspicious Beginning 2022-23
Starting the college life can cause much anxiety in the hearts of new students because of a lot of unknowns – “What should my major be? Will I make friends? How will I find all of my classes? Whom do I ask if I have a question? How a medical college is different from any other school?” and many more.
New student orientation program is designed to guide students in answering all their queries. Prior to the beginning of actual classes, students are given an overview of the complete realm of the University/College life, from academics, rules & regulations to social activities etc during the program referred to as the orientation.
RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital’s objectives for the orientation program:
1) Introducing students to college life.
2) Acclimatize students to their new surroundings and members of the community.
3) Providing a mutual platform for the Students and the University stake holders to build an effective eco system.
The Orientation Program for the new MBBS students (2022-2023 batch) of RajaRajeswari Medical College was held on 14th Nov 2022 with an overwhelming participation from the students, their parents, dignitaries, and faculty members, who all graced the occasion with their enthused presence. A Pooja and Homa were conducted marking the auspicious beginning.
Next there was a brief description of the institute and a presentation on Student Mentorship Program of RRMCH. They were acquainted with the opportunities they will be receiving under the Student Mentorship Program and all the support and guidance that they will be getting from the team. Then the students were given an introduction regarding the academics, disciplines and environment at the institute, the facilities and infrastructure of college, hostels, mess and the food. Librarian explained the details about the vast resources and knowledge repository available at the library. The program came to conclusion with a delightful food served to the new students and their wards also.
