Department of Community Medicine, Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital had organized a CME program on 21/12/2021. The topic for the CME was “Health Care Waste Management in COVID-19 times”. The organizing Secretary was Dr Srividya V – Prof.
The Guest Speaker was Dr. Suman G – Associate Professor & Coordinator- Health Care Waste Management Cell – WHO Recognized Nodal Centre on Expertise & Training in Health Care Waste Management in the Dept of Community Medicine – M S Ramaiah Medical College. As Health Care Waste Management is a Policy – every Health Facility has to be followed mandatorily. This topic was chosen to highlight on Health Care Waste Management during Covid19 times. The members present were Dr. Sathyamurthy, Dean, RRMCH, Dr. Praveen Kumar, Medical Superintendent, RRMCH, Dr. Vivek G, Deputy Medical Superintendent, RRMCH, Dr. Praveen G U, Vice Principal, RRMCH and C. N. Seetharaman- IAS, CEO, RRMCH. The CME was also attended by all the Pre Clinical, Para Clinical, Clinical (Staffs & PGs) and Nursing staff. This important Topic was perceived well by all the Participants & many queries were cleared in the interaction.
