CME on World Diabetes Day & 7th Anniversary of RRMCH Diabetes Centre
The Department of Endocrinology and General Medicine at RRMCH organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on November 21, 2025, marking World Diabetes Day as well as the seventh anniversary of the RRMCH Diabetes Centre. The event was held at the college auditorium and saw enthusiastic participation from faculty, residents, and interns.
The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Aastha Mehta, first-year medical resident, who highlighted the global importance of World Diabetes Day. The session was chaired by Dr. Prakash T. G., Professor & Head, Department of Medicine, and Dr. Prakash, Professor & Head, Department of Nephrology.
Two expert speakers delivered insightful talks:
- Dr. Shruthi Jayaram, Assistant Professor of Endocrinology, spoke on “Diabetes Remission: Hope, Hype & Hard Evidence.”
- Dr. Chandana V., Assistant Professor of Nephrology, presented on “Pillars in the Management of Diabetic Kidney Disease.”
The academic session was moderated by Dr. Mohan K. Rao, Professor & Head, Department of Endocrinology.
The CME concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by a hosted lunch for all attendees. The event reinforced RRMCH’s ongoing commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care in the field of diabetes and its associated complications
