Dr. R. Prema Contributes to Digital Discipline Module

Dr. R. Prema, Professor of Pediatrics at Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital, contributed to the development of a Digital Discipline module aimed at addressing the growing concern of excessive digital use among children and adolescents.

The module was launched in Belagavi on 1 March 2026 by Indian Academy of Pediatrics Karnataka State Branch in association with Adolescent Health Academy Karnataka.

During the program, Dr. Prema conducted an interactive session on Internet Gaming Disorder and discussed tools to evaluate digital addiction and problematic internet use. The event was attended by over 70 pediatricians and postgraduate students from across Karnataka. The program was well appreciated, and the organizers plan to extend the module to other districts across Karnataka.
