Fire Drill – NABH

The NABH Department has organized a training/meeting program …… Title : FIRE DRILL Date : 23.01.2021 Time : 11:00 am Venue : Kadamba Hall (College Auditorium) Main objectives of the Fire safety training were: 1. To review Fire Safety Plans, policies and equipment 2. To conduct fire safety mock drill and training including mock evacuation of patients, checking the functionality of the fire hose reel etc. In this connection training programme was conducted on fire safety on 23rd Jan 2021 in Kadamba auditorium from 11 AM. Medical and non-medical staff attended the training. Dr. Sathyamurthy, Dean welcomed the gathering and Dr. Sahajananda proceeded the program. Dr. Sahajananda highlighted the importance of fire safety and showed a Video presentation on “CODE RED”. He stressed the need to remember RACE and PASS as code words for fire safety procedures. He welcomed Fire Safety Officer to brief the audience on Different types of Fire, Chemistry of fire and how to execute the fire plan. Later Mock drill was conducted and various doctors, nurses, people were asked to practically extinguish the fire using fire extinguishers, which was lighted near the flag post. Securities were asked to demonstrate the use of Fire Hydrant and checked the functionality. Programme concluded with a high tea.
