Guest Lecture on Brain Stem Anatomy & Its Clinical Relevance

The Department of Anatomy at Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital organized an enriching guest lecture on “Brain Stem Anatomy & Its Clinical Relevance” on 21st June 2025. The session was graced by Dr. Rajkohila, Assistant Professor of Anatomy, Madurai Medical College, Tamil Nadu, who delivered a comprehensive and clinically oriented presentation on the brain stem.
The lecture covered detailed anatomical features and their implications in clinical practice, sparking interest among the undergraduate students. A brainstorming interactive session featuring multiple-choice questions added an engaging and participatory element to the lecture.
In addition to the academic session, 1st MBBS students (2024–25 batch) actively participated in two creative and research-based activities:
• Histology Rangoli Competition
• Research Project Proposal Competition
These competitions encouraged students to blend art with science and present innovative ideas. Winners were recognized and awarded during the event.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by high tea, providing a platform for informal interaction and academic networking. The event was a great success, fostering learning beyond the classroom and promoting a spirit of academic curiosity
