Guest Lecture on “Turning Concepts into Marks – Histology & Embryology Simplified”

The Department of Anatomy at RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital organized an insightful guest lecture titled “Turning Concepts into Marks – Histology & Embryology Simplified” on 28th February 2026 (Saturday) from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

The program began with an invocation, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Mangala S, Head of the Department of Anatomy. The keynote speaker for the session was Dr. Vasudha Kulkarni, Professor and Head, Department of Anatomy at Akash Medical College & Research Centre.

Dr. Vasudha Kulkarni delivered an engaging and student-focused lecture, emphasizing the importance of understanding core concepts in Histology and Embryology and effectively translating conceptual clarity into examination performance. She shared practical strategies to simplify complex topics, making them more approachable and easier to retain. An online quiz conducted through Google Forms added an interactive dimension to the session, encouraging active student participation and reinforcing learning.

The lecture witnessed enthusiastic involvement from students and faculty members. Feedback collected through Google Forms reflected that the session was highly interactive, informative, and beneficial in strengthening conceptual understanding.

The program concluded with the felicitation of the guest speaker by the Dean, followed by a vote of thanks by Mrs. Padmalatha, Assistant Professor, Department of Anatomy. The event ended with high tea, providing an opportunity for informal interaction and discussion.

Overall, the guest lecture was a meaningful academic initiative that enriched students’ learning experience and reinforced the importance of concept-based learning in medical education.
