Health Education Program

A health education program on Menstrual Hygiene was conducted at ROTARY BANGALORE VIDYALAYA on 29th AUGUST 2022. The beneficiaries included around 200 high school students along with Rotarians. The programme was conducted by Dept.of Community Medicine and was organized by Dr. Shashikala Manjunatha (Head of Department), Dr.Swapna.M. (Professor and I/C Channasandra, UHTC), Dr. K.M.Kaviya and Dr.Julie, the 1st year Post graduates of the department of Community medicine along with Miss. Sangitha DHI student. Refreshments were provided by the school. • The program started with a brief introduction by Dr. Swapna.M • A talk on Anatomy and Physiology of Uterus was given by Dr Julie • A talk on Pre Menstrual Syndrome and Menstrual Hygiene was given by Dr K.M.Kaviya which was further explained in Kannada by DHI Student Miss. Sangitha • Doubts of the beneficiaries were addressed by Dr Swapna.M • The event concluded with giving sanitary napkins to the students. • The event ended successfully.
