Inauguration of State of the Art ICU Complex
On 27th February 2026, RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH) marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its new State-of-the-Art ICU Complex. The ceremony was presided over by the esteemed Founder Chancellor, Sri A. C. Shanmugham, whose visionary leadership continues to shape the institution’s commitment to excellence in healthcare.

The inauguration was a grand assembly of the institution’s leadership and medical professionals, including:

* Departments (HODs), the ICU In-charge, and dedicated staff members who will operate this advanced facility.
This new complex significantly enhances RRMCH’s existing critical care capabilities, which previously included an 100-bed facility divided into MICU, SICU, and ICCU units.
* Advanced Technology: Equipped with the latest life-saving equipment, including sophisticated multi-para monitors and high-end ventilators.
* Comprehensive Care: Designed to provide 24/7 intensive care for life-threatening cases, supported by a 1,300-bed multi-specialty infrastructure.
* Specialised Units: The complex integrates specialized care for all age groups, Renal transplant care and CTVs services.
