ISACON 72nd National Conference

Dr. RANJITHA R Final Year Post Graduate , from the department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Dr. Ranjitha R, under the guidance of Dr. Karthik G S (Professor & HOD) has won First prize in award paper – ISA JAIPUR – Acute Pain / Perioperative Pain category at the 72nd Annual National Conference of Anesthesiologists ISACON 2025 held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. She was selected amongst 2500 participants all over India.

Hello everyone! We are truly honoured to have won the 1st prize for Paper Presentation at the 72nd National ISACON in our respective category. This achievement means a lot to us, and we wanted to share a few words of gratitude.

Right from the beginning, the department believed in our idea and guided us at every step — from designing the study, collecting data, refining the methodology, to preparing for the final presentation.

We also want to thank our HOD Dr Karthik G S sir and all the senior professors, entire faculty team of Anesthesia. Their support created an environment where academic growth and research are genuinely encouraged.

Winning at ISACON has been a very humbling moment. It motivates us to keep learning, keep researching, and keep contributing to the field of anaesthesiology.

Dr. G K ANKUSH Final Year Post Graduate , from the department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Dr. G K Ankush, under the guidance of Dr. Mahesh Chandra (Professor) and Dr. Karthik G S (Professor & HOD) has won First prize in award paper – ISA JAIPUR – Airway category at the 72nd Annual National conference of Anesthesiologists ISACON 2025 held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. He was selected amongst 2500 participants all over India.

Yes, this award is not just ours — it reflects the support, trust, and encouragement we received from our college and from our Anaesthesiology department throughout the journey.

Our faculty mentors spent countless hours reviewing our work, giving critical feedback, and helping us strengthen our paper. Their patience and commitment truly shaped the quality of our research.

And a big thank you to our college administration for providing the facilities, resources, and motivation that made this possible. We’re proud to represent our institution at a national level.

Final Year Post Graduate from the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Dr. Poorvika N S, under the guidance of Dr. Sudheer S (Professor) and Dr. Karthik G S (Professor & HOD), presented a paper titled “Comparison of analgesic efficacy between Ultrasound guided low dose caudal epidural block versus dorsal penile nerve block in paediatric patients undergoing circumcision- A Prospective randomized comparative study” at the 72nd Annual National Conference of Anesthesiologists, ISACON 2025, held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Final Year Post Graduate from the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Dr. Niveditha S, under the guidance of Dr. Sowmya M J (Professor), presented a paper titled “A study to compare APACHE II, SAPS II and SOFA scores as a prognostic marker for mortality among sepsis patient” at the 72nd Annual National Conference of Anesthesiologists, ISACON 2025, held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Final Year Post Graduate from the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Dr. Basavaraj Biradar, under the guidance of Dr. Sudheer S (Professor) and Dr. Karthik G S (Professor & HOD), presented a paper titled “Preoperative ultrasound guided inferior vena cava collaspsibility index as a guide to predict hypotension following spinal anesthesia- A Prospective randomized comparative study” at the 72nd Annual National Conference of Anesthesiologists, ISACON 2025, held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Final Year Post Graduate from the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Dr. Jasni K B, under the guidance of Dr. Karthik G S (Professor & HOD), presented a poster titled “Combined Thoracic Segmental Spinal Anesthesia and Erector Spinae plane block in High risk patients undergoing Thoracoscopy for gross pleural effusion- Case reports” at the 72nd Annual National Conference of Anesthesiologists, ISACON 2025, held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Final Year Post Graduate from the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Dr.Shrilekha S, under the guidance of Dr. Jyoti Petkar (Professor) and Dr. Manasa M(Associate Professor), presented a paper titled “Comparison of thyromental height test with thyromental distance, sternomental distance, ratio of patient height to thyromental distance and modified mallampati grading in predicting difficult airway in elderly, Prospective observational study” at the 72nd Annual National Conference of Anesthesiologists, ISACON 2025, held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Final Year Post Graduate from the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Dr. Gargi Gogoi, under the guidance of Dr. Nadia Rose (Professor), presented a poster titled “Aneasthetic management of a patient with severe aortic stenosis and severe pre eclampsia posted for emergency cesarean section under general anesthesia: A case report” at the 72nd Annual National Conference of Anesthesiologists, ISACON 2025, held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
