Medical Camp at UHTC , Channasandra

A free medical camp was organised by Rotary International, Muttappa Attavar Memorial Trust and Department of Community Medicine, RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital on 3rd July 2025 at RMAMH-UHTC, Channasandra.

The programme started at around 9:30 am with lamp lighting ceremony.Rotary Club of Bangalore -Director General Rtn Elizabeth Cherian, President Rtn Sukhen Padmanabhan, Mr. Arthur Santosh Attavar: Chairman, Muthappa Attavar Memorial Trust (MAMT), Rtn. Srinivas Velidanda, Mrs Benetta Attavar, Rtn. Dr Gerts Dsouza, Rtn. Ashok, Community Director, Mr Pradeep, Indo-American Hybrid Farm, Dr Manasa AR, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, RRMCH attended and organised the programme under the guidance of Dr Shashikala Manjunatha, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Community Medicine.

A free screening cum awareness health camp was organised with special emphasis on Non-Communicable diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Stroke & Cancer. Free GRBS testing, Blood pressure checking and distribution of drugs was done to the beneficiaries.Dr Vidhay Reddy, PG Resident, Dept. of General Medicine, Dr Padma, Medical Officer, UHTC, Dr Bhavya & Dr Anto, 1st yr PG residents, Dept. of Community Medicine, UHTC staff actively participated in the programme.

A total of 153 beneficiaries participated in the programme. Most common conditions observed were Hypertension, Diabetes, Knee Osteoarthritis, Myalgia, URTI among others. The patients requiring further treatment were referred to RRMCH, Bengaluru.Transport arrangements were provided by RRMCH. Refreshments, drugs were provided by Rotary Organisation.The Camp successfully concluded at 4pm.
