Nasha Mukta Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan & Inauguration of 1 Mega Watt Renewable Solar Energy Plant

RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions successfully hosted the Nasha Mukta Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan on 2nd August 2026 from 10:00 A.M. onwards at the ACS Convention Centre, RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH) Campus. In collaboration with the Dishabodh Foundation, the institution served as one of the key host locations for the nationwide campaign launched under the visionary leadership of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Sri. Narendra Modi. Conducted simultaneously at more than 10,000 locations across the country, the initiative united youth in a collective commitment towards building a drug-free India through a virtual national inauguration.

As part of the nationwide programme, Hon'ble Prime Minister Sri. Narendra Modi addressed the nation on the importance of combating drug abuse and encouraged the youth to play an active role in building a healthy, addiction-free India. His address was telecast live across the country and was screened at the ACS Convention Centre, where participants joined millions of citizens in witnessing the national event.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Founder Chairman Dr. A.C. Shanmugam, Chairperson Smt. Lalitha Lakshmi, President Sri. A.C.S. Arun Kumar, along with Executive Director Dr. S. Vijayanand, CEO Sri. C.N. Seetharam, IAS (Retd.), Dean Dr. Sathyamurthy B., Medical Advisor Dr. S.Naveen, Principal Dr. Basavaraj Bhandare, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Praveen Kumar.

The event was graced by His Excellency Sri. Thaawar Chand Gehlot, Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka, and the Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). During the programme, His Excellency inaugurated the 1 Mega Watt Renewable Solar Energy Plant at the RRMCH campus, marking a significant milestone in the institution's commitment to clean and renewable energy.

Addressing the gathering, the Hon'ble Governor lauded the enthusiastic participation of the students and commended their determination to stand united against drug abuse. He called upon the youth to become ambassadors of a healthier and more responsible nation by making informed choices and inspiring positive change within their communities. His Excellency also congratulated RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions for successfully organizing the programme on such a large scale and appreciated the institution's commitment to sustainability through the establishment of the 1 Mega Watt Renewable Solar Energy Plant.

As part of the programme, students of RajaRajeswari Group of Institutions took the Nasha Mukt Bharat Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to leading drug- free lives and contributing towards building a healthier and addiction-free society.
